Forwarding Email Tips

In order to forward your default catchall email to another email account:

Using cPanel:
See Default E-mails -> Set Default Address (Catch All) -> enter to: other_address@a_domain.com
(example: my_address@aol.com)

If you wish to simply forward email from something@your_domain.com to something_else@any_domain.com, use the Aliases / Forwarding feature.

If you wish to keep a copy of forwarded email, first ensure you have a POP account set up, then set Aliases / Forwarding to the another email address as well.

If you wish to not save email within your account, while continuing to forward email to another account, you'll need to remove the POP account and set Aliases / Forwarding only.

If you do not wish the delete your POP email account, and wish to continue to forwarding email, email saved in your POP account can be easily deleted later using your webmail reader, Horde.
